It is possible to spend more income than you have on
advertising which does not even recuperate its own cost. We
learned in the early years when everything from magazine ads
to flyers on cars brought zero results. We learned, instead,
to put great energy into telling our story in our own
in-house publications. For over a quarter century the Red
Vic has done zero advertising – but it tells its story over
and over again – in the room themes, on the web site, when
the guests check in and out. To the kind of clientele we
want, we are unforgettable.
